Anonymous Dormer
Sometimes, I feel as though the Priory community is a little too small, and that I want to meet new people outside of school. However, as a dormer, that is difficult to do because we scarcely have connections outside of school, such as to churches, sports clubs, etc. How would you recommend going about this?
Hmm..maybe try to have a friend who doesn't live in the dorms take you to places where you can meet people with similar interests as you? Or have one of the dorms reps take you to a similar place. Maybe they can organize some fun fair or something where you can meet high school kids from nearby schools?
Expanding on the outside friend, chill out with them and have them invite a few of their outside school friends, so you can meet them. Then, if things go well, you can meet THEIR friends, and so on and so forth, expanding your friend pool. And make sure the friends all have common ground, so you can bond over that.
Really, the takeaway message is try your best to seize all opportunites to get out into the world using what resources you have, like outside friends and dorms reps.
